Promoting free & fair electionsProtecting the democratic process

Africa has a rich history of vibrant democracies, but electoral processes have often faced challenges related to transparency and trust. In response, LHS has created the CERI platform to empower citizens, foster transparent electoral results collation & transmission, so as to ensure accurate representation of voter preferences in Africa.

Libertas Heritage Society proudly introduces the Citizens’ Electoral Results Initiative (CERI), an initiative poised to transform the electoral landscape in Africa. With our initial focus on Ghana's 2024 general election, CERI is a rallying call for citizens to actively engage, contribute, and safeguard the integrity of election results. The mission is clear: to promote free and fair elections by harnessing the power of technology and citizen participation.

Libertas Heritage Society (LHS), a registered non-governmental organization headquartered in Ghana, is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, ethical leadership, and constructive engagement across the continent. As part of our commitment to practical solutions, we introduce CERI to address challenges in electoral transparency and trust.

Elections, being the gateway to power, demand the active participation of every citizen. However, the persistent issue of electoral fraud threatens the sanctity of the democratic process. In response, CERI emerges as a platform designed to empower citizens, facilitate transparent electoral result collation and transmission, and ensure the accurate representation of voter preferences in Africa.

The detrimental impact of electoral fraud cannot be overstated. Dishonest candidates breed dishonest leaders, leading to corruption. It is our collective responsibility as citizens to curb this trend, as corruption often begins at the heart of elections. Ghana, touted as a beacon of democracy, has faced allegations of electoral fraud in every election since the 4th Republic. CERI stands as a solution to break this cycle.

Built on advanced technological infrastructure, including cloud-based and blockchain systems, CERI is accessible through user-friendly interfaces on both mobile applications and PC browsers. The initiative draws strength from various user groups, including system administrators, citizen volunteers, authenticated journalists, political party agents, observers, and more. The transparent system design aims to foster accuracy and transparency in result submissions.

Beyond Ghana, CERI plans to collaborate with other national societies within the Libertas Heritage Society in Africa, replicating and deploying the initiative across the continent. The aim is to mitigate tensions and violence during elections, contributing to the development and peace of the region.

CALL TO ACTION
CERI is a citizen-powered initiative, safeguarding their mandate. We call upon all well-meaning citizens of Ghana and the Africa Diaspora to financially support this initiative. No donation is too small. Additionally, technical volunteers are crucial in ensuring transparency. We invite skilled individuals to contribute their expertise, collaborate, and shape the future of electoral transparency in Africa through CERI.
